Although Donald Trump has never served in the military, it has always been a big thing in the US. In fact, it has been reported that Trump’s paternal line has not served in the military for three generations.
Some individuals on the internet are now calling for Trump’s son, Barron Trump, to join the US Army, shortly after the president opted to destroy three nuclear sites in Iran.
Why? The reason, however, is somewhat depressing.

Donald Trump has consistently lauded the military and underlined its critical importance to the United States, as have his family members, most notably his sons Donald Jr. and Eric. It’s interesting to note that despite being called up for the draft, the former star of The Apprentice and current US president, who was re-elected to a second term last year, has never served in the armed forces.
Due to bone spurs, Donald was given a draft deferment and went on to work in real estate alongside his father, Fred. According to a 2016 New York Times story, Trump claimed as a child that his “heel spurs” rendered him unsuitable to serve. Although orthotics, stretches, or surgery can be used to address heel spurs, Donald said he has never had surgery.
“Over a period of time, it healed up,” he said, per the New York Times.
Trump has no military experience, nor have any of his children. Over the years, a number of service members have come forward to criticise them doing precisely that. One Trump relative, though, has the power to alter that. That’s what some social media users are now requesting, anyway.
Social media users calls for Barron Trump to enlist in US Army
Many people were divided by Donald Trump’s plan to attack three nuclear sites in Iran on June 22. Legislators referred to the strikes as “unconstitutional,” and the president’s lack of military experience didn’t exactly assist his case.
Some have made it obvious who should go first, even though US soldiers have not been deployed into Iran. Many users on X are now calling for Barron, Trump’s youngest son, to join the US Army and be one of the first to enter enemy territory.
“Don’t panic, MAGA; not a single Trump ‘male’ will be anywhere near the fighting,” one user wrote on X, per Irish Star. “Barron already has developed preemptive fake bone spurs.”
“If Trump decides USA should get involved in a ground war in Iran, I assume Baron will be enlisting since Trump family has so much love and support for our troops? Be a patriot!” one user wrote, as reported by The Spun. “SHOULD BARRON BE DEPLOYED FIRST? Before anyone else’s child is set to Iran, Barron needs to enlist and be sent to the fort lines in the war his father unconstitutionally started. Your thoughts?” another wrote.
“It should be mandatory that any sitting President who starts a war (which means every Republican) their sons MUST enlist and MUST serve in combat,” a third wrote. “There is no reason why Barron is living in NYC with his Step Daddy Hank, living life like a normal 19 year old. He should be in boot camp right now. Or, get deported back to the country of which he sprung with his Mother.”
Barron Trump’s mother shuts down school rumor
Barron’s life and scholastic achievements at school are not well known. Nevertheless, we may infer something about his high school achievement from the fact that he applied to several of the top universities in the US. However, a rumour that circulated not long ago asserted that Barron was free to attend any school he desired was untrue.
A few weeks ago, Nicki Swift reported on rumors stating that Barron had been rejected by three major schools: Harvard, Columbia, and Stanford. A Facebook user sparked the speculation, writing: “Guess what colleges didn’t accept Barron Trump? Harvard. Stanford. Columbia. Any college Trump is attacking — are the ones that, with all of his money they said ‘no endowment will let him in.”
The reports that Barron was turned down by Stanford, Harvard, and Columbia were looked into by the well-known fact-checking website Snopes. However, claiming that “there is no evidence that these universities rejected Barron Trump,” they were unable to confirm it.
Melania made the decision to finally put an end to the rumours, even if they haven’t been verified or refuted. The First Lady of the United States stated through her spokeswoman that the rumours are “wholly untrue.”
“Barron did not apply to Harvard and any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false,” Nick Clemens, spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady, told Snopes.
Harvard battle
It’s interesting to note that Donald Trump has targeted other universities, including Harvard, alleging that they have not gone far enough in protecting Jewish students.
In the past, he has accused Harvard of being anti-Semitic after large-scale demonstrations against the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted on campus and he alleged that the Ivy League university enrols an excessive number of foreign students. Numerous lawsuits have been filed as the conflict has intensified.
